Website Concept & Design
A website concept was created around the way different customers needed to interact with the business, turning a broad set of requirements into a clear and practical design direction.
Ice Club Website Project
A responsive website for Ice Club, created to showcase Eskimo Ice’s "Ice Club" products and guide visitors quickly to the right information, enquiry form or contact point.
Project Overview
Eskimo Ice Ltd is a UK ice supplier serving a wide range of customers across retail, wholesale, events and commercial enquiries. Around four years ago, they rebranded their bagged ice product under the name Ice Club.
I have worked with Eskimo Ice for over 20 years, designing, developing and supporting multiple versions of their website as the business and its online requirements have evolved. The Ice Club rebrand was the latest chapter in that relationship, bringing with it a new website built around the way different types of customers make enquiries.
The website needed to do more than carry the updated name. It had to help different types of visitors find the right route quickly — whether they were a large retailer, event organiser, wholesale customer or general enquiry.
The project included responsive website design and development, on-site SEO, website hosting, DNS setup, backups, updates and ongoing technical support. A later addition included an automated enquiry chatbot, created to help guide visitors towards the correct source of information or the right contact within the business.
The Brief
Following the rebrand of their bagged ice product to Ice Club, Eskimo Ice needed a refreshed website that could clearly present the business, work well across all devices and support a wide range of customer enquiries.
Unlike a standard ecommerce website, the goal was not simply to push visitors towards an online checkout. The website needed to act as a clear enquiry pathway, helping different types of customers understand where to go next and who to contact.
From the initial conversations with the client, the key pieces of the puzzle were already there. The challenge was to turn those requirements into a website concept that felt simple for visitors, while still supporting the different areas of the business behind the scenes.
What I Delivered
A website concept was created around the way different customers needed to interact with the business, turning a broad set of requirements into a clear and practical design direction.
The website was developed to work smoothly across desktop, tablet and mobile, giving visitors a consistent experience regardless of the device they use.
The structure was planned to help different types of visitors move towards the right information or contact point, including retailers, wholesalers, event organisers and general enquiries.
An automated chatbot was later developed to help guide order enquiries and direct visitors towards the most relevant source of information or team contact.
On-site SEO support included clear page structure, search-friendly content organisation and technical foundations to help the website perform effectively in search.
Ongoing support includes website hosting, DNS setup, backups, updates, troubleshooting and technical help to keep the website running reliably.

The Outcome
The Ice Club website gave the business a clearer, more structured online presence, designed around the way customers actually make enquiries.
Instead of treating every visitor in the same way, the website helps guide people towards the most relevant next step, whether they are looking for retail supply, wholesale information, event ice, commercial support or general contact details.
The addition of the automated chatbot further improved the enquiry process by helping visitors find the right route more quickly and reducing unnecessary confusion around who to contact.
The Future
As Ice Club continues to develop, the website can continue to evolve around customer enquiries, business requirements and new opportunities for improving the online experience.
With hosting, DNS, updates and technical support already in place, the project has a reliable foundation for future improvements, content updates and enquiry-led website development.
Continued technical support, updates and troubleshooting to keep the website reliable and performing well.
Ongoing management of hosting, backups, DNS settings and technical configuration behind the website.
Future improvements can continue to refine how different visitors are guided towards the right information, service or contact point.
Ongoing support for page content, metadata, structure and search visibility as the website continues to develop.
Not every website needs to sell directly online. Some businesses need a clear, professional website that guides visitors to the right information, service or contact point. If your website needs to generate enquiries, reduce confusion or support different customer types, I can help you plan the right approach.
