Project Overview
Supporting a Long-Standing Reward and Lottery Website Client
PromoGratis Ltd is a UK business behind a number of cashback, reward and promotional websites. I have worked with Adrian and PromoGratis Ltd for over 20 years, designing, developing and supporting multiple online platforms during that time.
Free Lotto Club is the latest major project in that relationship — a free-to-play lottery website designed to give members a clear, simple and trustworthy way to submit free lottery lines, view results, manage their account and engage with the platform.
Unlike a standard brochure website, Free Lotto Club required a bespoke system capable of handling member activity, daily line submissions, prize draw information, referral features, email communication and ongoing operational requirements.
The project included website design, responsive development, custom system development, VPS hosting setup, domain and DNS support, backups, updates and ongoing technical support. I also help with the day-to-day running of the site, making sure the platform continues to operate smoothly as the business grows and evolves.
The Brief
Creating a Bespoke Platform for a Free Lottery Website
Free Lotto Club needed more than a typical website. The project required a bespoke online system that could support members, manage lottery line submissions, display results, handle account areas and provide a smooth experience across desktop, tablet and mobile.
The website also needed to feel simple and accessible for users. Although the system behind the scenes is more complex, the front-end experience had to make it easy for members to join, understand how the site works, submit their free lines and return regularly.
Because PromoGratis Ltd had previously relied on Mailchimp for email campaigns, part of the wider technical support included helping move email communication to AWS. This required more setup, but helped reduce long-term monthly costs and gave the business a more scalable email solution.
The brief was not only to design and develop the website, but to provide the reliable technical foundation needed to run and support a live membership-based platform on an ongoing basis.
